I have always loved the Boris Valejo female warrior images. I wanted to try and work Metallic outfits someting I saw in a few of his images. Now I have no idea what the comfort level would be but I had to try. The background is a shot from the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virgina USA and the crow is a lucky shot I got which will be posted in stocks later. The shield and out fit were made using photoshop shape tools and real metal texture. The spear is a thorn macro from a hawthorn tree and tip is from a hunting arrow.

What I had in mind was a warrior signaling her troops and the Crow carrying a message, The Crows always seem to be messengers or omens . This is my first attempt at a warrior and I hope I will be working more , after I learn a little more. My thanks to for their beautiful stock work that made this image possible

I agree that Boris Valejo is a great inspiration and an artist who does not seem to be widely recognised. Impressed with the hard work on the metals. You may be interested to see my own work which was loosely based on one of Valejo's pictures. I had to give up on the fabric texture and folds. They were just too much for me. Keep up the good work.
