Vesuvius Female

I had seen the work of Da Vinci called Vitruvian male many times in my life. In a Art History class I learned a little more but really paid little attention to the details other than it was called the perfect man or perfect proportions. I then saw the Da Vinci code which I did enjoy all the various plots and especially the symbols. I was asked to work a Wicca image for a friend and it was there I read some on the Pentagram which I found very interesting. I also found some references to the Rose. another symbol some mention seeing in the drawings of the Vesuvius man. The rose was the flower of Aphrodite-Venus and was represented in ancient texts as the five stages of Female life. Now I have no idea if Da Vinci actually wanted those symbols or hid them in his drawings but if he did I saw something wrong. Early references to the Pentagram are Goddesses , Hygeia for the Greeks, Ishtar, and references to the Goddess Venus and the pattern the planet Venus makes on its travels. it was seen in early times as the human body and the 4 elements. The circle in the drawing is also the feminine symbol of protection. After seeing all the feminine aspects of the pentagram I thought it was time for an image that had the pentagram with the correct gender

Note: For me this was a stab at some of the art history I had taken and things I had read of what experts thought were the reasons meanings or visions of the artists from our past . Now for me unless the Artists left written records of his thoughts or visions then NO ONE knows what was in their minds. One of the reasons I love what I see here in DA is that many of the Artists make statements on their works like song lyrics triggering a vision or maybe an event in their life and their works will always have their statement not what some history buff decides is their purpose or cause.
