I have been trying to work out some mermaid images. I have had trouble getting fish skins or scales amd some good Ocean shots. I managed to get a few images from Virginia Beach area and a few from Costa mesa California that my sister shot or me. In this image the ocean is from Costa mesa and the Sky and Moon from a shot from here when I was testing a zoom lens. I then saw a beautiful pose while scanning stock images at . Her pose was perfect for the few Images I had worked out with the one fish skin I did get. I was also able to work in the shell bras and star fish which I collected from Okinawa while snorkling and the seaweed strap photographed at Virginia Beach. My thanks to for her beautiful poses and for sharing her work, which made this image possible.
ahhh that is so great
of course you can submit it! thank you very much!
isn't my model great? I love her poses indeed and I didn't realize she looked like a mermaid.. mmh
she looks so sexy
Thanks
It was the pose that caught my attention it was perfect for the mermaid body I had been working and the rock background worked out well too and yes she is gorgeous . Thanks for sharing your images

Thanks
But I have to skin the fish and shape the skin over a doll that my wifey found for me that has bendable legs. The skin or scales then take the shape of the female form and I dont have to lighten and darken much like the creases like between the legs and to try and get a natural round shape. As a NON Painter LOL have to form fit everything. Once I get the skin on the doll I then bend the legs and shoot different angles and poses. The finished scale Picture is then fitted to the model hopefully with a realistic looking body. Yes it is a lot of work or a PAIN at times but fun just takes a long time

Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.

Real beauty comes from within, a treasure for those that can see it.

I've been doing a lot of abstract painting lately. Extremely abstract. No brush, no paint, no canvas. I just think about it.
Now If I can go fishing and get some more good fish skins then maybe more mermaids
